Thanksgiving’s about staying connected

Hello, Everyone!

Ever since last night the internet connection has been very poor, so I’ll keep this short.  I want you to know I’ve read and appreciate your comments, but I can’t reply at this time. Maybe the connection will improve later today or tomorrow.

Thank you for your kind wishes for our day.

Happy Thanksgiving to all

“Okay, Bridge. Here’s the deal. We wait until RVSue goes into the little room and shuts the door. Then we high-tail it out of here and get in line over at the church. I hear they have turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, candied yams, pie…oh, yeah, lots of pie . . .”

Hi Angie! Our Thanksgiving Day was like any other day, which would be a sad thing to say except “any other day” is great! I’m thankful for the many good people who read my blog and write kind messages here.

PS: Becker does the sit and I don’t want to walk thing also, but he has no excuse – just laziness!

  18. Jack says:

Almost have to agree on solo Thanksgiving day. I went to a gathering yesterday and it was pretty much ruined due to one woman’s constance political snipping. Poor manners will always spoil a happy time.

  19. LuAnn says:

Hope you three had a great day. 🙂

  20. jean says:

Glad your day was just your kind of day. you never mention your diet. are you still following it? Enjoy the Slabs.

I’m not on the Dukan diet right now. Once I got to my target weight I eased off it. I have adopted some of its tenets… Breakfast is still no-fat milk with oat bran and I stay away from sugar.
Lean meat is important for the diet. Shopping in these small groceries in small, rural towns . . . I got a package of deli turkey that was slimy. Yuck! It turned me off deli turkey and without that, the diet is hard to do. I also need access to Greek yogurt at an affordable price, another difficulty with small town groceries.

I think I can go back on the deli meat again, enough time has passed since that bad experience.. Now I have to camp somewhere that I can replenish the Greek yogurt and deli meat easily. I love that I know a tool that works to control my weight!

  21. Carol says:

did you do your part for the economy on black Friday?
I always go to your blog firstcuz enjoy it so, what disappointment if there’s nothing new, no pressure meant.

    • rvsueandcrew says:

I stopped shopping on the Friday after Thanksgiving about 30 years ago.

      • Connie & Mugsy says:

I’ve got you beat. I have never shopped the Friday after Thanksgiving… and never even considered it. I’ve always hated crowds… and shopping. 🙂

        • rvsueandcrew says:

Yeah, it’s almost an affront to womanhood… hating shopping. But I do, too! I hate it so much, when I had to buy clothes to look good at work… If I found something presentable and reasonably priced that fit me, I’d buy two or three, just to cut down on the need to shop.
