Today’s post is a collection of photos taken recently.
Some of these photos were shot on the Vulture Mine Road outside of Wickenburg, Arizona. There’s a photo that shows some RVs boondocked in the desert. Others are some scenes around our camp on BLM land between Congress and Wickenburg, including a desert pond.[slideshow] One photo, at first glance, looks like empty desert with mountains in the background. If you examine it closely, you’ll see the tiny white dot that is our home!

Beautiful photos, beautiful desert! Thanks for sharing!
You’re welcome, Geri!
Are there javalinas out where you’re at?
I haven’t seen one javelina here. Up the road in Congress at Al and Kelly’s place, javelina come into their back yard. They’re in town. Not much to scavenge out here.
Wonderful photos, loved the little white dot one. WOW how neat is that! Is the slideshow a plug in that you added to WordPress? I have been looking for one and can’t find one. If you can direct me I sure would appreciate it.
It’s not an added plug-in. It’s part of the package when you sign up with WordPress. I’m sorry I can’t help you.
Thank you Sue I use WordPress, but don’t contract with them for the site so I guess what I get isn’t quite the same as. Thank you so much, that helps alot and keeps me from going crazing trying to find the plug in – LOL – Have a wonderful day.
WONDERFUL!!!! THANKS!
YOU’RE WELCOME!
Love your little white dot. How cool to be out there all by yourself. Hope that pond is nearby so you can keep your eye on it. You never know who might be attracted to water, in addition to you and the crew of course.

I love my little white dot, too. You can see from the photo why it is so peaceful at our camp. The pond is nearby. Actually it’s more like a large mudhole because, judging from the hoof prints, the cattle and horses like to wade in it.
I can’t see the white dot! LOL
It looks so peaceful. You must be having a great time.
Hi, Julie,
The white dot is in the center of the photo immediately following the photo of the paved road. Stop the photo with your cursor! You can find it!
Every time I drive down Yarnell Hill I see that tiny white dot and think of you.
Wonderful slide show. Always fun to find water in the desert.
You see the BLT as you come down the mountain? Way cool (first time I’ve ever used that expression)….
No, I don’t think it would be good for them to go in the water. . . . I’d be afraid they’d pick up a fungal infection, parasite, whatever . . . at the very least they’d get dirty and I don’t have water to waste cleaning them up!
Nice to know you’re reading my blog, Linda.
Hi Susan, I didn’t realize the desert was so beautiful. It never really attracted me but seeing your photo’s tell me I need to visit sometime. I love that little dog. 🙂 He was enjoying getting his picture taken and seemed to smile for the camera. I will write you personally. K
Yes, ol’ friend, I’ve been wondering about you! Hope to hear from you soon . . . (Kathryn’s one of my Georgia pals.)
drag out your brushes, see if you can paint as well with them as you do with words,it wont be easy, you do so well with words
Hi, Carol!
Maybe I will someday . . . from the photos. I have to wait to be in the mood to paint. It comes and goes.
Thanks for complimenting my writing.
