It’d be great to lie down in this. Hmm . . .Should I? . . . Nah . . . Ol’ RVSue’d have a conniption fit.
Better not push my luck. She might make us go back to camp.
Wait ’til the Bridge sees my new black boots. Heh-heh-heh.
“Hey, Bridge! Got sumpthin’ to show ya!”
“Good heavens, Spike! Look at you! You’re a mess. Don’t you know better than to get in the mud?”
I hope nobody comes along and sees him. How embarrassing. He can be such a slob. . . I can’t bear to look at him.
“Pretty cool, huh, Bridge? Black boots!”
“Let’s see . . . What do I do next?”
I love Spike, but sometimes I need my space. He’s more than I can take right now. Hmm. . . interesting smell . . .
“Hey, Bridget! Look! Here comes somebody!”
Meh, not my type . . . Looks like trouble to me . . .
“Think you can catch me, pal? I’m pretty fast and I’ve got some fancy moves.”
“Pssst. Listen up . . . Go chase Bridget, okay? . . . Ha-ha-ha-ha!”‘
“STOP IT! GO AWAY, YOU BRUTE! LEAVE ME ALONE!”
“Oh, that was too funny. I’m going to split a gut laughing. You shoulda’ seen yourself, Bridge. You really can move that load . . . Ha ha ha ha ha!
Somebody’s calling ya, pal. Guess ya’ gotta’ go. It’s been fun. Safe travels.”
“Aww, babe. I’m sorry. Don’t be mad at me. I was just havin’ a little fun with ya.”
“I’m not talking to you right now, Spike.”
The Bridge gets mad at me sometimes. But she doesn’t stay mad long.
I’ll give her some time and then go over to her. . . Wow, this is a great place . . . so much water.
I’ll pretend I’m ignoring her. Oh-kay . . . easy does it. Just minding my own business here . . . dum-de-dum-dum . . .
I like finding things. Like this rock with pretty colors. The beach is fascinating!
