The previous post about the weed-wacked wildflowers generated several intense responses, ranging from sad to angry. The post also contained incorrect information. For those reasons I deleted it.
The photos in this post show flowers around our present camp. Enjoy!
Boondock near Roosevelt Lake, Tonto National Forest, Arizona
Our new camp is in a natural cactus garden!
Hundreds of cacti, loaded with buds and blooms!
Bridget says, “It’s like living in an arboretum!”
Reggie says, “Yeah! What Miss B said!”
RVSue says, “It’s gorgeous here! And most of the buds haven’t opened yet!”
Beauty isn’t always eye-popping-ly obvious.
It’s all around us in subtle forms.
Sometimes beauty appears where unexpected.
While Bridget, Reggie, and I walk near our camp, we come upon a turkey vulture.
When thinking about beautiful birds, the words “turkey vulture” don’t usually come to mind!
THE PEOPLE SAY . . .
“Ugh! Turkey vultures! Ugly and, besides that, they eat road kill!”
THE TURKEY VULTURE SAYS:
“You kill it and I clean up after you!”
“And you call ME ugly?”
Have a beautiful day, everyone!
