Late afternoon at our campsite on Upper Pahranagat Lake, Alamo, Nevada
Lazy days at the lake . . . .
When the sun dips low and the air cools, Reggie and I stroll the campground road. This daily ritual cannot be skipped! Reggie will not go to bed until we share this last walk of the day.

I wouldn’t want to skip it either. Next to early morning, this is my second favorite time of day!

Aha! I was right!
We come upon an interpretive sign that has illustrations of Pahranagat wildlife. Among those shown is a muskrat! No otter, no beaver, no other furry, aquatic animal.

(If this is your first visit to RVSue and her canine crew and you don’t know what I’m talking about, see the previous post of “muskrat rambles.”)
Also shown on the interpretive sign is the Desert Spiny Lizard which I do believe is none other than . . .
Fat Lizard!
The lizard illustration is too scratched for a photograph. You can see him at the link above.
Okay, so he isn’t exactly fat. A better name might be Stocky Lizard, but what the heck. Fat Lizard sounds better, in a Fat Albert sort of way.
We’re happy in The Primo Campsite.
However, you know how it goes . . . The grass is always greener and so forth. Remember the photo of the charming campsite at the tip a little peninsula? I’ve coveted that spot every time we’ve camped at Pahranagat.
Wednesday, April 26
From our campsite I can see the teardrop trailer that’s parked at the campsite on the peninsula. Frequently throughout each day I throw a glance that way. This morning my diligence pays off.

The teardrop is gone!
I toss Reg into the Perfect Tow Vehicle.
We buzz down the campground road to the site. I throw my red gingham oilcloth on the picnic table and set out a camp chair. We scoot back to the Best Little Trailer, and, in record time, I pack up, hitch up, and away we go!
Now we have The Primo Primo Campsite!

Ooh. Sweet.
Our first sunset at the new campsite . . . .

Coming soon: More photos of our new camp!
