It’s hard to believe!.
One year has passed since the day, August 16, 2011, that the crew and I drove away from the factory in Rice, Texas, towing our Casita home, to start our new life as fulltime vagabonds. What a wonderful year it has been! Those of you who’ve read the blog entries from that date to this one already know how richly we’ve been blessed. Looking back, I’m amazed at the places we’ve been and the people we’ve met.
Now is a good time to thank you.
Thank you for traveling with Bridget, Spike, and me. Somehow, sharing our experiences with you makes the days more meaningful and fun. Writing this blog reminds me again and again how fortunate I am to live my dream with the companionship of my two canine pals and with the enthusiasm of my readers and friends.
I can honestly say that this year has been the happiest year of my life!

Canine Corner: “Our First Year On the Road” by Spike and Bridget
“The Bridge and I have come a long way this past year. Used to be we’d hang out in our fenced-in yard, bark at anybody who walked by, and watch the grass grow. I’d patrol the fence line every morning, poop in the same spots, and sleep under the same ol’ tree. Pretty ordinary life. Remember that, Bridge?”
“Yes, I do remember your little routine. But do you always have to relate everything to bodily functions? Golly, Spike. This is rvsue’s blog. Try to elevate your thinking.”
“Oh, whatever. As I was tryin’ to say, our life has changed a lot. The Bridge and I have met so many interesting dogs. I’ve soaked in creeks, rivers, and lakes, and I’ve lifted my leg on . . . ”
“There you go again, Spike! Stop it!”
“Okay, Oh – KAY! You tell it, since you know so much.”
“Thank you, Spike. I will. When I figured out what rvsue had in mind, quite frankly, I was appalled. The three of us were going to live like hobos! How embarrassing! I was so upset. The first few trips, when we’d get in the PTV, I’d cry. After a while I saw that this is a wonderful way to live. I love it! Don’t you just love fulltiming, Spike?”
“Yeah, I sure do, Bridge. It’s been one heckuva year. Yep, one heckuva year.”

So cute, Mick. Thank you. I’m not sure it would work, teaching Spike that trick. Back at Brooks Lake I caught him eating fish heads he found along the water’s edge!
Congrats on your first year!!
Thanks, Jeff!
Wow, gang – it has been a great year and hope many more are in the wind. Glad I was a part of this past year and hope to be again down the road. Thanks Sue for opportunity to travel along with you
You’re welcome, Emily. It’s been fun, hasn’t it. I’m glad I had the opportunity to meet you.
You’ve met so many amazing people in the past year. Doesn’t it make you wonder how many other great folks you never met by taking a left turn to one camp instead of a right turn to another? Everyone has a story to tell. Find as many of those stories as you can! (Damn, remember what I told you about a year ago about using exclamation points in your own writing?)
Hello, Hot Cal! So good to hear from you again! Ha!!!!
Yes, I do wonder about the person I didn’t meet because I took the other road. More often, I wonder whom I’m going to meet next. The road I travel never disappoints me.
You need a “like” button, Sue. Thank-you for sharing your & the crew’s adventure – your spirit, talent, and gratefulness give joy, laughter & inspiration to me & many others.
Luv from Cynthia & Scout
Thanks for that sweet comment, Cynthia & Scout.
Oh my gosh, this year has passed SO fast.. I have been following you since the start, I wish you, Spike and Bridgett many more years of happiness and health.
Can’t wait to see what you and the Crew get into this next year, HAVE FUN AND CARRY ON…
Woofs N Paws
It has gone fast, hasn’t it, Barbara. I can’t imagine what lies ahead for us… which is good. I never imagined this past year and it’s been wonderful. Thanks for the good wish.
Happy Anniversary to you Sue and the Crew. I have been readying your blogs and loving everyone of them. I put them in a file for later review. I just left Massachusetts and now am in Virginia. I pulled a 14 hr. ride in the car non stop. I am exhausted and resting up. Leaving from Va on Monday to Florida, home again. I am hoping to find something I can get to start my own traveling, this time a little more comfortable. Money is tight so here is hoping. Been gone for 11 weeks. Ready to go home for a bit and enjoy the warm Florida winters. Sharon from Florida
Sharon! You are going to need to take it easy after a trip like that! I’m glad you got to see your family. Please be careful this last leg of your trip. Thanks for the anniversary wish.
You are the envy of many of us. Both for your freedom and for you willingness to take the time to share your life. I look forward every day to see if you’ve been able to post. We spent (my wife, miniture Schnauzer, and I) travling in our Casita through Utah, Nevada, Idaho, and Oregon. It was one of our best experiences ever.
May it continue like this for you for a long time.
And for you, your wife and min-schnauzer, too! This kind of travel can’t be beat. I never liked being dropped into a location (airplane travel). I love the journey. Sounds like you know what I mean! Thank you, Ed.
Congrats Sue and thanks for sharing your adventures. We enjoy reading
You’re welcome, Eli. Thanks for writing!
Congratulations on your one year anniversary of fulltime fun. I’ve traveled along with you and the fur kids from day one and want to thank you for taking the time to share your adventures. I’ve always gotten a kick out of the personalities of Spike and Bridget, and now you’ve given voice to those personalities, which is very entertaining.
Let the fun continue . . .
Hi Marsha! Part of the fun of blogging is reading comments like yours. Yes, let the fun go on . . .
Congrats Sue And Crew!!
What a Great adventure you’ve given us. I just flew to southern Calif last week and thought of you three as we were high up over the west! The best to you and here’s hoping for many more entries.
Gee, I’m getting “good vibes” from the sky! Thanks for sending congrats to us. Best wishes to you, too.
Happy Anniversary, rvsue and Crew! I have enjoyed traveling along with you (picked up the journey about halfway through) and sharing your experiences, both good and bad. You are an inspiration and great role model for those of us who have yet to hit the road. I’m especially enjoying the new Canine Corner, seeing the world from Spike’s and Bridget’s perspective. Best wishes as you continue on your journey.
Hi Cari!
The crew and I say thanks for the compliments and happy anniversary wish. I hope people do find a dream and follow it, like I have been able to do. Thanks for reading my blog.
Thought of you guys when I saw a little Casita yesterday pull into the park. ahhhhh what a life!
You’re so right . . . What a life!
Congrats on completing your first, of many, years full timing. I really enjoy your descriptions of your interactions with the many “characters” you meet. Happy trails.
Ruth from At Home on the Road
Hi, Ruth . . . I have been fortunate to run into some really interesting people. Happy trails to you, too.
Wow! A whole year – it sure doesn’t seem like it has been that long. Congratulations to you and the crew for having so much fun, enjoying life and being such an inspiration to us. Wishing you many more miles of fun!
Thanks, Carla. I’m glad you are along for the ride!
Congratulations!! Loved the convo between Bridget & Spike — too cute!
Sometimes I feel like I can hear them talking to each other! Uh-oh. . . not a good sign. Thanks for the congrats.
Sue you , Bridge and Spike… well you just make my day. Love as Marsha stated… reading the ‘crews’ perspective on things. So informative as well as entertaining… I get wonderful laughs from the ‘crew’ please keep us posted, I hope that we can meet out in that wonderful land of the USA one of these days.
Hi Marsha! Well, I’m convinced that the Canine Corner is a keeper. I can see the day when it will be “the canine crew and rvsue.” Thanks for the warmth in your comment.
Congrats rvsue on your first year on the road. Great stories, pictures, your dogs and all quite inspiring.
Thanks, Steve…. I’m glad you get something out of my blog.
Congratulations, Sue! Wishing you many, many more “happiest” years of your life. Same to you Spikey and Bridge. 🙂
Thanks from all three of us!
So glad that I found your little blog and enjoyed reading it all from the beginning. Just wanted to add my congratulations to the mix.
Thanks, Connie. I’ve enjoyed your comments.
I’ve been full tim’n for the last 10 1/2 years. Your first year makes me a bit jealous of all the wonderful places you have been and seen.
Wow! Ten and a half years! You must know what you’re doing, Billy Bob. That last line of yours has a compliment inside it. Thanks.
Your year just seems to have flown by to me. I’ll bet even more so for you. I remember clearly finding your blog shortly after you started and going back to read from the beginning. You’ve been a real inspiration to me and to lots of other it sounds like. I’m definitely on the hunt for my own Casita and PTV. Thanks for all the help you’ve been and CONGRATULATIONS!! On to year 2 and 3 and……………..
Hi, Sherry! I hope you find the Casita and tow vehicle that’s right for you, and then I wish you a year as incredible as ours has been… and 2 and 3 and . . . .
Hi Sue, A year, I remember when I was a kid a year was forever,,,now we know it’s the blink of an eye.. In the past year you have taken me to so many wonderful places, shared the many adventures that you with Bridget,& Spike had along the way, Introduced me to your friends, Shared many, many pictures, and by doing so you have brought joy to me almost daily….. Thank you Sue,,, PS. you have moved past “tioga goerge” in which blogs I read first… don’t tell him….
Quite an honor, John! I enjoyed reading your comment… a good summary of my blog… oops, now I have to say OUR blog since I have two writers on staff. The year has flown by. I think we did a pretty good job of packing a lot into it!
Sue, this year has gone by so fast. I started reading your blog from day one and have always enjoyed your great storytelling! Keep up the good work….and may this year be even better:)
Janine
Thanks, Janine. It makes me happy to hear from someone that they enjoy my blog.
Congrats Sue & the Crew!! You write beautifully! Now I have your blog and the Crews blog to follow, so exciting! Poops & all 😉 You know I thought I heard Rhett & Scarlett as I read Spike & Bridgets blog 🙂
Oh and I’m just a little bit jealous of your one year!! I’m so ready to head out, just have to wait on the hubby to decide hes ready to retire.
Oh, I hope your husband doesn’t hold you back for too long! There is so much world to see, places to go, memories to make, people to discover . . . .
Thanks for the compliment on my writing. It could be a lot better, but that’s blogging for ya.’ No time for a lot of editing and revision.
I started reading before you hit the road. Can not even imagine that it has been a year.
What fun we have had on your travels. Keep it up. We love it So glad the pups have adjusted to traveling.
Too bad dogs can’t read! The crew could inspire newbie canines to take to the road and love it!
Gee, you’ve been with me a long time, Cathie. Thank you.
Happy Anniversary to all! Love the crew. I am hoping one night you will get bored and create a list of your favorite camp grounds by state. :-). I can copy and keep in my mobile , could come in very very handy!
Hi, Jan…. I will make that list, but probably not until I’m settled in southern Arizona this winter. My internet connections are too iffy while moving around so much. Thanks for the anniversary wish to me and the crew.
So nice of you to tell me that you went back and read every bit of my blog. Seems like a lot of work to me, but you did it! Thanks, Linda.
Happy Anniversar to all three of you!!! You all have come such a LONG WAY BABY…’member the ad?…nooh well, I’m dating myself again. Spike has become a stellar dog, Bridget, a beauty and SUE: a great RVer and a super blogger. Thank you for being you!!!!!!
And thank YOU for being my friend, Chuck.
Congratulations. It’s so wonderful to see your dream come true after all your planning, hard work and moxy.
“Planning, hard work and moxy” . . . that pretty much sums up those pre-vagabond years. Thanks, Sheila.
Hi Sue,
Congratulations Sue, Bridget and Spike! Gosh, what a void I would have in my day if I couldn’t search out what you’ve been up to. In this crazy time, with the airwaves and cyberspace filled with the negative political vibes, reading about your adventures is a welcome breath of fresh air. (well, a bit smokey at times this past week…) Please keep the good times rolling.
All the very best,
Barrie
Hi, Barrie! Thanks for the congrats. Speaking of fresh air, we had a lot of it for our anniversary day. I took the crew to a place, lakeside, where they could run around off-leash. They needed that after the days cooped up inside the BLT or PTV to get out of the smoke. It was a beautiful day. I spent a lot of it lounging around. (What else is new, eh?)
Well, thanks for asking. I’m getting ready to head back to Cobscook State Park on the coast of Maine. I will be going whale watching on two masted schooner in the Bay of Fundy out of Eastport, ME. I was there a couple of weeks ago checking it out and I was able to watch a whale breaching for about 15 minutes straight. It was jumping completely out of the water; what a sight. I went on this tour a few years ago in late August and it was fabulous. Fingers crossed the whales will be plentiful but no matter; camping by the bay, sailing on a schooner… it’s all good.
All the best,
Barrie
Holy cow! You know how to find adventure, Barrie! Have a great time!
What a year it’s been! Thanks for sharing it all with us, the good and the bad, you’ve truly been an inspiration. This blog is a big part of why I decided on a Casita to go full-timing in myself. When things got tough I’d often look at your pictures and dream of the day when I would get to see those places for myself with my Casita. Just 29 more days now until I start my adventure, I can’t wait and will continue to follow along with you. Heck, maybe we’ll even get to meet on the road someday, then I can thank you in person.
I am so excited for you Becky! I remember the days “when things got tough” and I’d look at the Casita website for the millionth time or go to the Casita forum or read Tioga George’s blog for the second time that day! Anything to keep the dream alive and me sane!
And now you’re in the final countdown. Good for you! I wish you the very best on the roads you take.
Thanks Sue! Wishing you and the crew many more ‘best’ years on the road. 🙂
I gotta admit I spend a fair bit of time on the Casita forum too, taught me all about Red Max Pro, how to fix a rivet, and that silicone is bad news. It’s such a great resource.
Happy Anniversary!!! What a neat year you and the crew have had. I’m sure glad I found your blog, as I am enjoying it so much.
I’m glad you found my blog, too, Ginger. It has been a “neat year.” Thanks for riding along with the crew and me.
You have gotten so many well wishes and congrats on your first year, I just have to add mine also.
You just make so many peoples day better as we have your humor and those cute dogs always
entertaining us. Hope you continue on in good health and happy travels. Thanks for taking the time to do your blog.
You’re welcome, Darlene. I’ll do my best to continue on, Lord willing.
Thanks for letting us tag along!
Lacy
You’re welcome, Lacy. Nice to hear from you again!
Congratulations, Sue, and thanks so much for taking us all along with you.
You’re welcome, John…. You do kayak rolls? And I thought I was adventurous with my bloated canoe!
If you want to get more comfortable with your canoe, give us a shout when you get back to Arizona this winter and we can do some paddling together.
Congratulations! You do have the most interesting blog! I love your recent Spike and Bridge addition. Happy future travels and stay safe!
Thanks, Bev. Spike and Bridget provide endless material to blog about!
Happy Anniversary to a wonderful and very fortunate lady! Your posts are a pleasure to read and I’m always on the lookout for a new one. Here’s to many more years on the road and also, to one day meeting up with you!
Grace (in Tucson)
Hello, Tucson Grace…. I love southern Arizona, so our paths my cross someday, I appreciate the compliment.
Congratulations Sue your journey has been awesome to read and looking forward to hearing about your second year!
Hi, Miriam, I have little idea where the crew and I will go in our second year, but then I didn’t have much of a plan for the first year, and it turned out great! Thank you for the congrats.
Congrats to you and the crew on your year anniversary! The crew seems to have taken a liking to this way of life….as long as there is H20 nearby.
Not many have the courage to follow their dreams. You are an inspiration. Here’s to “Living on less and enjoying life more!”
My golden told me she doesn’t EVER want to be a city girl again!
Your golden has the right idea. I don’t know if it’s courage that places us here in this lifestyle, but whatever it is, I’m thankful we’re living this life. To think I could be looking out the window of my former house, seeing the same lawn, watching the grass grow, retracing the same roads . . . . Thanks for writing!
You have to have courage to leave everything behind and venture into the unknown. SO many people are comfortable with “the same ole routine” and only dream of what you are doing.
When we left Calee we gave away her step2 pool…she was like WHAT are you doing? Told her we bought her the biggest swimming pool and it was a RV ride away. When we finally got here…she looked at the lake and said,” Is that ALL mine?” Yeppers! And there are NO fences…is this ALL mine too? Yeppers!
She hasn’t stopped smiling since!
No thank you for taking the time to write this blog. I have it saved to my favorites and check it usually in the afternoon/evening for updates.
I can’t believe it’s been a whole year!!! What an inspiration you have been to me. When I doubt I can do it, I read your next post and I know I can. My house goes on the market in September and I can’t wait to join you in a far away land. Stay safe and have Fun, Fun, Fun!!
I’m happy for you! Good luck with the sale of your house and downsizing. Now’s the time to practice living small. I’m honored that my writing helps you hang on to the dream.
Congratulations on your first year as a full-timer. You’ve lived, learned and loved along the way. (I remember that adorable park ranger, AKA Ranger Mc Dreamy). The best is yet to come. You’re two little pals Bridget and Spike have stuck by you no matter what you had in mind. (Boating? On a River?). God Bless you and them. Enjoy yourselves, you deserve it..
Ah yes, Ranger McDreamy . . . too funny. Thanks, Harriet.
Happy Aniversary Sue and Crew. Your blog is a very enjoyable part of my day . I love the new canine corner too. Happy Trails
Hello Janis, I stumbled across an old comment of yours in “about rvsue” and was thinking of you. Nice to hear from you again. Thanks for the anniversary wish.
Happy anniversary Sue, and the Crew too. Dreams do come true.
Thanks, Gaelyn. I’ll go back to Congress sometime and we can get together.
Congradulations on your one year anniversary. It’s been a fun ride.
It has been fun . . . and part of the fun for me is hearing from likeminded people. Thanks, HatMan.
So happy to hear that it is your one year anniversary. So very well done to you Sue and the crew who we have all come to love so much!!
What a nice comment, Glenda. I’m happy you are with us. Thank you.
Thanks for taking us with you for the last year. It has been a fun and interesting ride. Wishing you, Bridget and Spikey a very Happy Anniversary and many more.
Hi Karen, It has been an interesting year. Funny how I knew, the moment I came across Tioga George’s blog several years ago, that this was the life for me. And even so, it’s been much more than I imagined. Thanks for anniversary wish for me and the crew.
Sue,
THough I have not commented much, we have been following your blog from the start. Congrats on your 1st year. And many many more to come
Don and Gayle
Don and Gayle, I appreciate you sticking with me and the crew since the beginning. Thanks for the congrats!
Another one year anniversary congratulations on a most entertaining, interesting and fun blog. You are my most favorite blogger!! Thank you for putting your life out there for us to share.
Hi, Susie, That’s quite an honor, to be someone’s favorite blogger. When I started blogging, I was afraid I’d embarass myself if no one looked at it but a few people I knew already. Wow! Little did I know . . . Thanks for the compliment.
BIG CONGRATS!!!! I’ve really enjoyed reading about the adventures of you and the crew. Your posts are enjoyable and informative, too. And the new Canine Corner is quite fascinating. Wishing all of you many more years of adventures!
Hi, CT and a BIG THANK YOU! It looks like Canine Corner is a hit . . . so I’ll keep going with it. I appreciate the positive feedback and your good wish for us.
Thank you for your wonderful insight. Your travel choices fascinate me and love of animals is shared. Our two pups clearly communicate to us and we give words to them. I do enjoy that new portion of your blog. I have become addicted to your blog and when I am not arguing on behalf of workers in a court room I try to spend time in the motorhome meeting people and learning their stories. By following your blog I get that chance every morning when I tune in so to speak. Safe travels and hope you get beyond the smoke soon.
Interesting comment, Bob. My travel choices are weird sometimes, I know, and mostly based on whim. I tend to like the “little” places, out of the way, least travelled, like Upper Kent Lake which we had all to ourselves! This was a year to see some of the ‘big” places like Zion, Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Devil’s Tower, Yellowstone, the Tetons, Grand Canyon… Oh my, the places we’ve been!
We’re out of the smoke for now. Thanks for reading my blog.
Congratulations on not only a fun blog to read, but all you have learned and experienced this year!! I admire your bravery and appreciate your sharing all these things here!!
Hi, Elizabeth! Always good to hear from you. . . Yes, I’ve learned a lot this past year. I needed help backing into my first campsite, and now I back the BLT around without giving it a second thought. As was pointed out by another reader, mountain driving intimidated me and now the PTV flies through mountain passes, up and down 9 percent grades, no problem! What fun we’ve had and I’m glad you enjoy reading about the daily life of me and the crew. Thanks.
Sue, you have inspired me over the past year. I keep a little notebook with a bucket list of things to do and places to go. When I read your blog I stop every once in awhile to add notes to my bucket list based on places you have gone. I believe there are people we pass everyday in our lives that have amazing stories to tell that we do not take the time to listen too. Thanks for sharing your life with us. I hope one day our paths will cross. Until then, happy trails…..
Hi, Tia in North Carolina (I like your extended name… It helps my old brain place you!),
A big part of the happiness I’ve enjoyed this past year is being RETIRED! Yay! Now I have the time to stop, sit and listen to the people I meet. While working, I was so driven to get through the workday and then take care of personal stuff, that I felt I had no time to listen to anybody! Stress, exhaustion, numbing routine… all that has been replaced with relaxation, freedom, new challenges, fun!
Thanks for your nice comment.
Speaking of retirement…hubby is still so joyful about that and me too!! It has been great in some ways…we still have a little ways to go to get out of this place, but the “hornets” (people in some cases; nasty smelling house another…not sure what is going on, hubby thinks MOLD issues below the house?)…but being driven we are…it may be a bit over a year, or a little more before we are RVers, if that comes to be…but we are still LOOKING and thinking and reading RV blogs like crazy!! Learning is never wasted and it is the nicest part of the internet that you and George and others are out there telling us in good detail about what you are learning!! (Yep, we are still in central NC…but probably for not a great lot longer)…back to sorting, organinizing, etc…
Congratulations! You have a wonderful life!
Yes, I do have a wonderful life, Patty. I don’t know why I am blessed with it, but I’m not going to worry about why! Ha! Thanks for the anniversary congrats.
I just started recieving your Blog posts in the last couple of weeks…….I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every one of them! Love the pics of the different places you camp too! Keep on Keeping On RVSue! I am looking forward to getting your updates each day! If you’re ever in West Central Indiana……..well, I’ll be watching your travels…….we can talk more later about that! God Bless!
Welcome, Edie! Ooh, my laptop is running out of power, gotta go! I’ll talk more later. Thanks for your sweet comment.
Sorry I dropped you so suddenly, Edie! Sometimes in the early morning after being online a long time the night before, my laptop can’t charge fast enough. West Central Indiana, huh? That’s a place I’ve never been. Hope all is well with you!
hi Sue,
Stephen here from North Carolina, (Asheville). This is my first comment and I just wanted to say my wife and I enjoy your post everyday as we are expecting to do the same thing your doing in about two years. We are getting ready for it now, cant wait, maybe we’ll see ya on the road one day,
Keep up the good post as you have been doing,
Stephen
Hello, Stephen . . . Two years isn’t too early to prepare for launch day. I’m happy that you both want to do this. If your vagabonding turns out similar to my experience, you’ll find that each day is richer than anything you could imagine. Sometimes I have to seek out some time for an ordinary day, so I can absorb it all! Best wishes working toward your goal. Nice to hear from you.
CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR FIRST YEAR! I hope you have many more safe, happy, wonderful years! Thanks for sharing your amazing life with us. Love to the special dogs!
Hi, WJ, I appreciate your kind wish for our future and I’ll pass on your love to Bridget and Spike who, at this moment, are sleeping at my feet (Spike snores. No surprise there, right?). Thanks for writing.
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to You and the Crew. THANKS so much for sharing your adventues. The Crew always look so Happy in the pictures you Post.
Thanks,
Abel
Nice to hear from you, Abel. Thanks for the anniversary wish. Believe me, it is my pleasure to share our adventures. The crew should look happy. They get ’round the clock attention and everything they want, pronto!
Congratulations on your first year, may there be many more to come! I have enjoyed every post, and I thank you for brightening my mornings.
You’re welcome, Teri. It’s a privilege to be a part of your day. I appreciate the wish for many more years. As long as I can, I want to do this! Thanks for writing.
Congrats RVSue! I am so happy for you. Your blog is one of the highlights of my day! Keep having fun and be safe!
Hi Angie . . . I truly enjoy sharing my happiness, including the challenges and irritations that make up the life of rvsue and her canine crew. Right now I’m itching to get back on the road again, even though the smoke has cleared and it’s pretty here again. I appreciate your good wishes.
Marvelous writing. Great adventures.
Wishing you many many more years of fun filled adventures…,..continue to enjoy the blog ……from my camper home to yours…..happy anniversay
Hi Sandy, I hope you are enjoying your camper home this summer!
Thanks, Bob.
WOW!! 1 year…it has been amazing. Thanks so much for letting us tag along on your adventures. Seeing the past year through your eyes has been magical. From the looks of the above post, lots of people are enjoying your adventures. That is so great that you have such a wonderful group of people following your blog. I am so glad you are so happy. Give Bridget and Spike a hug from Aunt Pauline. Love you Susan!
I knew I’d hear from you. Hello, Pauline! Yes, double-wow! Did you ever think I’d have a year like this when I left your house last summer? I know I didn’t. I expected an adventure, but it turned out to be so much more.
And the blog . . . amazing! I do have a great group riding along in the back seat of the PTV, so to speak. I look forward to camping out in your great room someday in the future. Hugs back to you and the rest of the family.
Thanks for taking us with you! Love the pics of all your travels.
Heres to many more travelin’ years to come! (with us peeking in)
Peek in all you want, Francy! I’m glad to have you along with us.
Way to go!
Should I come to Oregon next?
I’d love to go to Oregon…how about going for me, just in case I don’t get out of Arkansas. Love your Blog, and Congratulations on your one year Anniversary, and may you have many more enjoyable. days.
Like everyone else – Congrats. Your adventures are so entertaining. Some one mentioned courage – yes it takes courage to leave the ‘security’ of a stable, stale life doing the same thing every day in the same place. then again – I find the regularity of living ‘secure; to be entirely boring. Go for it while you can.
Love the Canine corner as I have two small beasties of my own in my little Coachman. ~Pam P
What I may lack in courage I make up for in desperation. . . desperate to escape the boredom, the routine, the sameness of traditional housebound living. Nice to hear from you, Pam. Snuggles to your canine crew and thanks for the congratulations.
“A journey is best measured in friends, rather than miles.” ~Tim Cahill travel writer
You three have had quite a successful first year. Congratulations!
Yes, we have had a successful first year. Thank you.
Sue, It has been an EXTREME Pleasure meeting you and the crew through your blog, I look forward to each and every post. Thank you SO much for allowing us all to travel along with you. May you have MANY more enjoyable years of great encounters.. Hope to meet you in person some day..
Larry
Hello again, Larry! You are most welcome to continue with us as we journey through our second year. Thanks for your kind words.
Congrats Sue. It passes so quickly these days.
So true. The days fly by. Actually the seasons fly by! Nice to hear from you, Llanos.
“He who is brave is free” ― Seneca
Congratulations on your first year…may you have many more in the company of your sweet little team.
Great quote and so true. Fear imprisons. Thanks for the anniversary wish, Ann.
Congrats Sue and crew! Thanks for sharing this past year with so many people.
Hi, Jim… Answering this late, you probably won’t see my reply… Anyhoooo….Thank YOU!
You made it – a whole year on the road already! Felicitations to you and the Crew. What wonderful adventures you’ve had, and many more await you.
Thanks a lot, Marcia!
Thank you so much for sharing your adventures. I love traveling with you and the crew!
Glad you’re with us, Donna!
I find myself looking forward to your blog each Monday morning. I am amazed at your adventures and your courage to drop out of the rat race. The canine corner is so fun! I imagine my little Bailey commenting on her life. Congrats on a successful and adventure filled year. I wish you many more. You add joy to my life. 🙂
Funny, it doesn’t seem like it took a lot of courage to do this. Nice comment. Thanks for the good wishes.
