Happy Thanksgiving Day to you , and to all your wonderful blogorinos! A list of all that I’m thankful for would take days to list . For now I will mention things that immediately came to mind. Friends and family in Heaven and on earth, human and animal throughout my life. I’ve always felt that I’ve received an astonishing amount of love from all of those. Having beauty near me in every circumstance- both physical and in the story of what that is part of. The rhythm and music in life that nature and people make to accompany those things. Having always been given enough of all of that to be able to share and/or give back to those I received it from and to others in need of it. You , Sue, not just your blog, talents and how good you’ve been to me. You as a person with all the qualities within you. Providence has always blessed me with whatever I needed for food, shelter and warmth for my body. Letting me get to know you has been a gift to warm my heart and bring a smile into each day. I hope this one is wonderful for you and crew 🙂

  20. Dave in missouri says:

  21. Dawn from Camano Island says:

Good morning, Sue. A very happy Thanksgiving to you & the Crew. This year, I’m most thankful for my mom Arlene. She is 86 & has become increasingly frail this year. It must’ve been hard for her to admit to me & my brother that she was having difficulty paying the utility bills & telling us “I just didn’t want to do that any longer”. She told us she would rather paint (she’s an artist–an amazing artist!). Mom has accepted our efforts on her behalf with gratitude, relief & joy. She’s doing what she passionately loves & is shaping her life in ways that make her happy. We should all be so wise.

  22. FloridaScott says:

    Hi Sue & Crew,

Of course being happy, healthy, with food on the table and a roof over our head also makes the list. All the rest is mostly just stuff. Hope you and all the blogorino’s have a Beautiful Day!

  52. Anne says:

    What am I thankful for?

My life, of course, and my children.

But I am also thankful that God created dogs, in His infinite wisdom, in all of their intelligence, faithfullness and amazing diversity.

Here is a favorite song of mine, (with apologies Julio Iglesias):

To All the Dogs I’ve Loved Before

To all the dogs I’ve loved before,
Who traveled in and out my door
    I’m glad they came along,
    I dedicate this song
To all the dogs I’ve loved before

To all the dogs I once caressed,
And may I say, I’ve held the best,
For helping me to grow, I owe a lot, I know,
To all the dogs I’ve loved before

To all the dogs who cared for me,
    Who filled my life with ecstasy;
    They live within my heart;
    I’ll always be a part
Of all the dogs I’ve loved before

To all the dogs I’ve loved before,
    Who traveled in and out my door;
    I’m glad you came along
    I dedicate this song
To all the dogs I’ve loved before

    ~Anne

  62. Laura says:

I am thankful for most everything. I am not in the very best of health, I have bad feet and bad hips and a bad back…but my employer allows me to use a chair in my “station” at work so I can still earn a paycheck, thank goodness for the Doctor who wrote a note for me at work! I am thankful that I have a husband who drives me nuts! But I would never want another man to drive me nuts like he can. I am thankful for those people who I know in my “real” life, those who I have never met in real life such as yourself and many others like you, who inspire me! I can’t help but mention those who I love/loved who have passed away, I am so thankful that they are/were a very important part of my life, out of all of them, I miss my daughter the most, but I am so thankful that she was on this earth for 27 years, especially when the Dr’s didn’t know if she would live past 3-5 years…. Oh… one last thing…. or should I say 3 last things… my cats: Snickers, Ollie and LC (LC for Last Cat I will bring into this house for now…lol) they give unconditional love and keep all the secrets I tell them!

I Am so thankful to still have my husband here 7+ years after his stroke. To be able to go out in our van and see some of this beautiful country.

  69. John McDonald says:

Lots of great comments that include all and more of my own reasons for being thankful. So here is an idea I came across a while ago. After thinking about all that one is thankful for, think about, “What would I like to be thanked for?” At the end of my life; at the end of the day; by my spouse or child or sibling or friends.
I am keeping it in the back of my mind these days – I like it.

  70. Piper n' Rusty / Az says:

    Happy Thanksgiving SideWinder Pen,,,,,,,

    • Sidewinder Pen says:

Hey there, Rusty. Perfect timing as I just arrived and there was your wish for me right at the end of the comments. I hope you’ve had a wonderful day and many more, too. I’m thankful that you and Lady Piper found each other. I bet I know what she’s thankful for today: You!

I liked what you said about the beautiful sunsets, no two the same. We used to say that about snowflakes, but these days I’m enjoying the sunsets more 😀

Today I’m thankful for health and freedom, and for friends, old and new – including RV Sue’s nice community here. For fond memories from the past, including berry picking, swimming, paddling, family, singing, tobogganing, and the companionship of my loyal and best pup. And also for Monday when the racing ATV-ers destroying a nearby hillside in a loud cloud of dust might go back to work 😉

      • Piper n' Rusty / Az says:

You got that right on all of it Pen,,, We’ve been Buzzed by big OHVs ’bout 4 times a day,, 15 in one group, same group all week long like clock work, ,,,, Have a Great Day and Bundle up, the Cold is on it’s way,, It was 39 degrees up here at 6am,,,,,,,, Piper says Hi,,,,,,,,,, rusty

Love the crew and I love all you blogorinos. I feel so much a part of a community. 76. Pauline in Mississippi says:

I missed this yesterday so I am late with my Thanksgiving greetings. None the less, I hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and like so many of you, I am grateful for my sister’s blog. She has introduced us to another way of really living life, taken us on travel adventures that we would not be taking on our own. We have laughed with her and we have cried but we have found a bond through Susan that I treasure.
I am so very grateful to my Lord for saving my soul through His payment on the cross. Ephesians 2:8-9 God bless all of you fellow blogerinos

  77. Beverly in Phoenix says:

When I got married in 1990 my husband and I had a plan that we would have kids, raise them, then live full time in an RV.

When he was 42, he died very unexpectedly and I was a young widow with two boys, who were 9 and 12 at the time.

I knew my life long dream of living full time in a RV was over. I remember being on a business trip in Chicago, eating breakfast in a restaurant and reading an article in a newspaper about couples who lived full time in RVs. I was in so much pain reading that article, trying to hold in my tears and not fall apart in that restaurant. I ended up holding my tears in so tightly that I gave myself my first (and only) nose bleed. Thought I was going to bleed to death in the restaurant!

For whatever reason, I went online that day to read about RV travel and I found your blog Sue. I never, ever, ever had considered that I could full time by myself! Don’t know why I hadn’t thought of it, but I never had.

So, to wrap this up, I’m thankful for you and your blog. It gave me hope and allows me to bask in the dream that I can also do this one day, after the boys are on their own.

    • John McDonald says:

May your dream come true. Your husband would be (is?!) proud of you.
      Cheers John

    • rvsueandcrew says:

Hi, Beverly in Phoenix! My day began with your story – How very poignantly lived and also written here. I was blessed to read it. Thank you.

I’m sorry your husband won’t be full-timing as you both had planned. How difficult for you to adjust to that reality and move forward from it. Your strength and hopefulness will serve you well.

What you experienced with my blog is similar to what happened to me (or perhaps, better put… FOR me) when I came across full-timer Tioga George several years ago. It’s a privilege to be in the position to pull back the curtains to reveal exciting possibilities for good people like you . . . By telling your story here you gave me the joy of “paying it forward.” 🙂

Best wishes to you and your sons and thank you for reading my blog.
